THE BEGINNING
Colortech, Inc. was founded in 1980 by current owner Patrick “Pat” Sullivan along with three partners. The company initially operated as a graphic arts trade shop handling pre-press color separations and plate prep work. Soon after the company’s startup, Pat’s son, Patrick ”Rick” Sullivan joined, learning the necessary skills and trade practices of the industry. As the company business steadily grew, so did Colortech’s pre-press capabilities. This led to the introduction of print services in 1985.
1996 was a pivotal year—The Sullivans became sole owners of Colortech, and Patrick “Rick” Sullivan was installed as president. Under their leadership, the company identified new opportunities to add to the list of existing services and product capabilities. Simultaneous with our capabilities growth, our client list has also experienced significant increases—reaching key markets in food, publishing, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and transportation.
Rick’s son, Austin Sullivan, joined Colortech in 2006, starting out by assisting in the print shop. Over the years, he advanced through various roles, gaining hands-on experience across the company before becoming a sales executive in 2015.
2020 REBRANDING
In 2020, amid the challenges of COVID, we embraced a period of transformation — updating our name and brand to Colortech Inc. Creative Solutions. This rebranding marked a new chapter, expanding our offerings beyond printing, mailing, and fulfillment to include a full range of creative services such as graphic design, web design, marketing, and promotional product development.
We also collaborate closely with our sister company, Blue Cardinal Photography, to provide professional photography and video production for our clients’ projects.
2020 - NOW
As we continue to evolve, we’re excited to announce our expansion into a range of new services, including promotional product printing, large format printing, and extended media production. With this expanded offering, we are committed to providing comprehensive solutions that elevate your brand and engage your customers.
