Colortech offers the service of a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) for extremely large files. FTP is a simple, secure way to upload and transfer files over the internet to an FTP site via a userID and password. The site can be connected to by means of a standard Web browser or a dedicated FTP software program, called an FTP Client.
In an effort to proactively eliminate potential problems before they occur, we would like to offer the following recommendations for file preparation:
- Be sure to include all fonts in a folder.
- All pertinent files, along with the fonts and images folders, should be in one folder.
- If possible, always compress files (MAC or PC) in a self-extracting archive to maintain file integrity.
With FTP, getting your project files to Colortech is just a mouse click away. It’s an immediate, safe, convenient, and user-friendly method of getting your pre-press or print needs into production and on the way to realization.
Web-Based File Upload:
To upload a file through this web page, press the "Browse" button to search your computer's hard drive for the file you wish to upload. You may upload as many as four files at one time. To preserve file integrity, it is best to put your files in a self-extracting archive.
When you are ready, press the "Upload File(s)!" button.
When your file upload is complete, you will be taken to a "Thank You!" page. Follow the instructions on that page to complete your file upload.

Unfortunately, there is no way to show a transfer progress bar. Once you make it to the "Thank You!" page, you can be assured that your file has been received and is safely stored on our server.
